tesda calendar of eventsI came up with finding out that there is actually a list of the different events and happenings that TESDA has scheduled for this year 2012. Although it is about to end, I would like to have them all featured in this blog for reference and for information use of my readers. Please note that this information may also be found at the official website of the government agency so if you want to see it from there, you can always visit their site at www.tesda.gov.ph/, otherwise, please proceed below as I have enumerated the events accordingly for your information.

The following calendar of event of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in the Philippines are provided in the order of event name, date of celebration, venue where it will happen and the brief description about the event or the occasion highlights.

Calendar of Event 2012

  • TESDA 18th Anniversary – August 22-24, 2012 / August 24, 2012 – TESDA Offices Nationwide / TESDA Taguig Complex – Different activities will be undertaken in different Regional Offices nationwide as part of the 18th TESDA founding anniversary. These activities include the conduct of the following: TVET Forum, Career Guidance, Skills Competition, Assessment and Certification, Local Jobs Fair, Skills Demonstration, etc. / “Conferment of the 2012 Kabalikat and Idols ng TESDA Awards and Conferment of TESDA Model Employees.
  • Takbo para sa Tekbok – Within August 2012 – TESDA I Regional Office, La Union – Fun Run activities will be conducted as part of continuous tech-voc apostleship.
  • Participation to Outreach Program of the Provincial Government – 2nd Week of August – TESDA Ilocos Sur Provincial Office – TESDA Ilocos Sur will participate in the anti-poverty program of the Provincial Government in convergence with other government line agencies, NGOs,POs and the private sector.
  • PTESDC 3rd Quarter Meeting – August – TESDA-Aklan Provincial Office – PTESDC is the highest policy making body of TESDA at the provincial level. Updates on TESDA’s program implementation, issues and concerns are discussed, and resolutions are prepared and submitted for consideration and recommendation of RTESDC to the TESDA Board.
  • 3rd RTESDC Meeting – August – TESDA XII Regional Office – The meeting serves as a venue to provide updates, and to discuss plans, issues and concerns within the different sectors of Region XII.
  • CAPTESA Day – August 24, 2012 – Villareal Stadium, Capiz – A one day celebration in line with the Provincial Board of Capiz’ resolution declaring the 3rd week of August of every year as TVET week.
  • Conduct of Competency Assessment:
  • I. a. August 11-12, 2012 b. August 18-19, 2012 c. August 25-27, 2012″ – Provincial Training Center-Kabankalan, Negros Occidental -
    “The conduct of assessment shall be undertaken in PTC-Kabankalan for the following: a. Plumbing NC II b. Carpentry NC II c. Automotive servicing NC I”.
    II. August 23-24, 2012 – TESDA Cebu Regional Office – The conduct of TMI assessment shall be undertaken accross Regional Office,Provincial Office,Training Institution (ROPOTI) in Region VII.
    III. August – Surallah National Agricultural School (SNAT), TESDA XII – The conduct of assessment shall be undertaken in SNAT for the Tour Guiding Services NC II.
  • Participation to the Mindanao TVET Conference/Summit – August – TESDA XII Regional Office – A regional TVET Forum shall be conducted and spearheaded by the TVIs to discuss issues and concern relative to TVET operations.
  • Skills Competion – August 27, 2012 – North Cotabato Provincial Office – “Kumbati sa Kusina” Skills Competition shall be conducted during the Foundation Day of North Cotabato in coordination with the Provincial LGU.
  • Participation to the 11th HRSDS – August 7-11, 2012 – South Cotabato Provincial Office – Participation in the 11th HRSDS activity to keep updated on TVET plans & programs for Mindanao.
